It’s one of those things that when you have one, you never want to go back. So in a way, be ware what you start.
Seven Passenger Cars
Seven passenger have been around for quite some time. But lately they have become even more popular. For one this will have to do with the coming of more and better hybrid technology, giving your car a better milage to the gallon. The other reason is that we just like big and bigger cars. But not only size wise, also functionality has become important. And these cars actually deliver a lot. There is great milage, lots of comfort and all the space you can dream of in a car. Eight Passenger Vehicles
If you thought that with seven people in a car (not a bus) you couldn’t go any bigger, you’re wrong. Some people have a need for an even bigger car. And again, I’m not talking about a bus here. No, these big eight seaters are still qualified as car. Next to its smaller brother that can only seat seven people, these eight seater cars have become more and more popular lately. Check out this article to find out why that is.
Family Cars & Compact SUV’s
The choice of cars has increased so much over the past years, that it sometimes can become difficult to make a choice if you’re looking for a car to use as a family car, but also for other purposes, like hiking and trekking. Without getting too much into definition, it still makes sense to understand when a certain car is called a MPV, a SUV or a Crossover.
Together with the increased amount of choice, the safety of cars has become a lot better over the past years as well. Read this article to find out more.
Still a Misunderstanding
If you’re reading this then there is a likelihood that you’re interested in these bigger family vehicles. And still there seems to be a big misunderstanding about these types of vans. And that of course is that you must have a big family in order to own one of those 7 seaters.
I’m here to tell you that that is not true. On the contrary, our families are already not the size like they were fifty years ago. These days even smaller families opt for a bigger car. Their general motivation is that they can store a lot of stuff, or carry a lot of stuff.
I’m typically thinking about the Golfer who wants to leave his Golf bag in the car. Or the people that go for once a week shopping. Things like that. And of course there are the moms who are actively involved with the (school) activities of their children and those of others.
Lastly there are simply the families with lots of kids.
Yet Another Misunderstanding
Hopefully I have cleared up the first misunderstanding, but there is another misunderstanding that is even more persistent. But now a days, more and more a misunderstanding.
I’m talking about fuel efficiency of the minivans or bigger than 6 seater cars.
More and more of the newer models are hybrid cars. And with the rapid improvement of battery life and other (electrical) fuel efficiency improvements, there big cars tend to get a better milage to the gallon than the standard gas burning sedan that we are so used to.
